History of Local 320
August 16, 1937 - Central Hudson employees organized the Central Hudson Employees Association to represent its members in collective bargaining with the Corporation.

1944
November 4, 1944 - The National Labor Relations Board notified Central Hudson that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers of the American Federation of Labor had petitioned for a certification of the appropriate bargaining organization for production, maintenance, shipping and certain electrical workers employed by Central Hudson. The employees voted in favor of representation by the IBEW on December 8, 1944.
January 16, 1945 - Local 320 was chartered
April 24, 1945 - The initial contract was executed between Central Hudson and Local 320, current T&D employees.
The NLRB held an election for IBEW Local 320 to become the bargaining unit for certain additional outside workers, including gas employees, meter shop employees, commercial representatives, etc.

August 1966 - The members of the Central Hudson Employees Association voted to affiliate with the IBEW as Local 2218, current TOC employees.

August 12, 1999 - Local 2218 merged into Local 320.
April 3, 2015 - The NLRB conducted an election for employees in the system operators and dispatchers group, who voted in favor of being represented by IBEW Local 320, current T&DSO employees, securing their first contract on April 1, 2016.

Local 320 proudly represents over 700 union members from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers who are employed by Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp and Roseton Generating LLC.
